This workshop is ideally suited for the intermediate to
advanced artist seeking a looser, freer style. Doug’s ‘tried and
tested’ approach to spontaneous watercolours has inspired
scores of watercolour artists from Canada, USA, Mexico and
Europe. Experience artistic breakthroughs in a relaxed setting.
The workshop includes:
1. Sunday evening demonstration,
2. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - Morning & Afternoon Demonstrations,
End-of-Day Critique with plenty of painting time & assistance in
between.
3. Thursday Morning free painting with assistance
Both studio and plein air painting weather permitting.

Workshop Tuition:
Tuition for this workshop is $275 per student. Please contact Doug directly at aitq@cogeco.ca or

Accommodation:
$120.00 per person (including taxes), per day, double occupancy; includes three meals per day,
unlimited use of studio and on-site facilities. Guests are required to provide their own sheets (single
bed) and towels. Please also bring a flashlight. No pets. All cabins are smoke free. Please wear
comfortable walking shoes, as the terrain is uneven. We are unable to accommodate individual
specific dietary needs.
Check in between 4:00pm - 6:00.pm. Dinner at 6:30pm.
There will be a cancellation fee of 25% charged after July 15th on accommodation fees.

Bridgewater, just north of Tweed, on the banks of The Scoottamata river, has been an art school, and artist's retreat since the 1960's. I feel fortunate to have been able to reserve this picturesque spot for my annual "Autumn Colours" workshop.
Compose and paint vibrant fall scenes in the environs of Bridgewater.
Discover the joy of painting rich autumn colours in "plein air". Brief group instruction daily sets the focus for the day's subjects followed by individual instruction and instructor demos at a variety of "on location" at and near to Bridgewater. Plenty of studio time is also allocated for help putting in those all important finishing touches.
Instruction will emphasize; composing alluring landscapes; using a variety of techniques for capturing the realism, impression, or mood of the students' chosen subjects; and achieving colours and values that "make" a painting.
While Donna paints primarily in watercolour, the instructional emphasis of this workshop is suitable for all media.
Beginners are most welcome.
Instructor's fee should be made out to Donna Bonnin in the form of cheque or cash in the amount of $160.00.
